Karen Handel (GA-06)
Karen is a businesswoman and former member of the United States House of Representatives. She previously worked in business and served as Georgia’s Secretary of State. In 2017, Karen became the first Republican woman from Georgia elected to Congress. She defeated Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff in a special election to fill a vacancy in Georgia’s 6th congressional district, which was the most expensive congressional race in American history. Karen was narrowly defeated by Democrat Lucy McBath in the 2018 midterms, and she is seeking to take back this Republican seat in 2020.
