Mayra Flores (TX-34)

Mayra Flores is a former Texas Congresswoman. Mayra was born and raised in Burgos Tamaulipas, Mexico. She came legally to the United States at age 6 with the help of her father. Growing up, Mayra worked alongside her parents in the cotton fields in Memphis, Texas to earn extra money for school clothes and supplies. After graduating high school in San Benito, Texas, Mayra earned a bachelor’s degree from South Texas College. She is a proud U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) wife and a mother.
