Virginia Foxx (NC-05)

Virginia Foxx has served North Carolinians in Congress since 2005. She began her career in education, serving as a secretary, teacher, administrator, consultant, and President at various colleges. She went on to serve ten years in the North Carolina State Senate before being elected to the United States Congress. Virginia Foxx was also confirmed by the United States Senate for a presidential appointment to the National Advisory Council for Women’s Educational Programs.

Virginia Foxx is known as one of the most conservative members of Congress, and serves as Chair to the House Education and the Workforce Committees.
